Leftists Use Mob Violence, Corporate Muscle to Silence Us

By John Zmirak Published on August 6, 2018

Mobs of angry, race-obsessed white activists drive an interracial pair out of a restaurant with threats and shouting. The couple flee for their safety to the public streets, pursued by the enraged whites. It takes local police to separate the couple from attackers. Many of the enraged whites belong to an organization that wears masks or hoods to obscure their identity. That secretive group engages in and advocates political violence to silence its enemies. It hounds them at their workplaces and their homes. It tries to force their employers to fire them. The ideology of this secretive group singles out one race as unworthy of equal treatment under law.

Is this a story from Alabama in the 1940s? No, this isn’t a history lesson. I ripped it from today’s headlines. The group above? Antifa. The mixed-race pair who got terrorized? Conservatives Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens, the leaders of the youth group Turning Point USA. Here are Kirk’s and Owens’ responses:

Genocidal Fantasies Okay with the New York Times

Here’s another: A journalist with a long track record of vicious, even exterminationist statements about one ethnic group is hired as an opinion writer at a major newspaper. It knew about her past expressions of racial hatred, but deemed them justified under the circumstances.

Despite her hundreds of dehumanizing, even violent statements about white men and even police officers, the Times hired her for its editorial page. In other words, it hired her not despite, but because of her views.

A piece of history about some pro-segregation paper in Tennessee, 1950? No, a bare-bones account of the New York Times’ decision to hire Sarah Jeong. An immigrant from Korea, she graduated from Harvard. Despite her hundreds of dehumanizing, even violent statements about white men and even police officers, the Times hired her for its editorial page. In other words, it hired her not despite, but because of her views. As the New York Post reported:

Jeong, a South Korean native, tweeted in November 2014: “Dumbass f–king white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants.”

In another tweet she asks, “Are white people genetically predisposed to burn faster in the sun, thus logically being only fit to live underground like groveling goblins.”

In a third tweet, Jeong wrote: “Oh man, it’s kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old white men.”

Part of me wonders whether to peg Jeong as simply a North Korean plant (the regime seeded neighboring countries with thousands of them). I mused about this yesterday:

Which Party Favors Racial Hate and Bias?

I don’t think Jeong was hired by accident. Asian-Americans are increasingly getting angry over the ruthless campaign by elite schools such as Harvard to keep them out as students, in favor of students with lower scores and grades from other ethnic groups. (The Ivies used to do this to Jewish students up through the 1940s. The brain-drain to places like New York’s City College, and the horrors of Nazi anti-Semitism, eventually shamed them into stopping.)

The Left is rightly terrified that outrage at anti-Asian quotas will goad Asian–Americans toward the Right. So what better tactic than to hire some angry, anti-white racist, in hopes of provoking a conservative backlash? That could help distract Asian-Americans from the real, explicit racial discrimination which the Left promotes.

How do we know that the Left is utterly hypocritical on these issues? The brave Candace Owen, mentioned above, took Jeong’s old Tweets about white people and plugged in “blacks” and “Jews.” That outraged Twitter’s opinion police. They suspended Owens’ account, while leaving Jeong’s untouched. Meanwhile, the editors of Jeong’s Wikipedia page keep deleting attempts to insert the facts about her racist views onto her Wiki entry.

I wrote here last week laying out the playbook of the angry Left. Increasingly it’s taking pages from the book of hate groups from the past. Why not? Hate works. It motivates people. It changes things.

The Bolshevik campaign against the middle class and prosperous farmers worked. Both groups were nearly wiped out. The state confiscated their property and hunted, jailed, or starved them.

Hate works. It motivates people. It changes things.

The Nazi targeting of Jews also worked. German Jews went from the most assimilated, highly educated, and prosperous Jewish population in history to hunted, bankrupt exiles or paupers — even before the actual Holocaust started.

In China, Mao purged his critics and liquidated most traces of pre-Revolutionary culture (churches, Confucian teachers, Buddhist temples) via the Cultural Revolution. That frenzy he whipped up killed tens of thousands. It silenced anyone who pointed to the famines and other catastrophes his misrule had inflicted (killing millions). And it did so via angry mobs of ideologized young people.

Oligarchs Silencing the Media

Enforcing silence through violence or sheer corporate power seems to be the new Leftist modus vivendi. On the same day, corporate giants Apple, Facebook, and Spotify jointly banned provocateur Alex Jones from their platforms. Conservative media watchdog Brent Bozell noted this with alarm:

I don’t support Alex Jones and what InfoWars produces. He’s not a conservative. However, banning him and his outlet is wrong. It’s not just a slippery slope, it’s a dangerous cliff that these social media companies are jumping off to satisfy CNN and other liberal outlets.

This is part of a distributing trend. In recent months top conservatives congressmen have been shadowbanned on Twitter. Pro-life and pro-gun posts have videos are often removed on several platforms. Liberal journalists even objected to one conservative outlet attending a meeting with Facebook. Several conservative organizations like Live Action and the NRA and even the Christian satire site Babylon Bee have complained they had posts removed or censored.

Social media sites are supposedly neutral platforms, but they are increasingly becoming opportunities for the left and major media to censor any content that they don’t like. The lack of transparency is also problematic and as of this release, Facebook, Apple and Spotify have provided no detailed explanation for the ban.

Conservatives are increasingly concerned that InfoWars is not the end point for those who want to ban speech. it’s just the beginning. We are rapidly approaching a point where censorship and opposing voices is the norm. That’s dangerous.

Whatever you think of Alex Jones, media oligarchs conspiring to silence him is chilling. First they came for Alex Jones…. Whom will they come for next? Probably Breitbart stands at the top of their list. But The Stream can’t be too far down it. I’ve already learned that my own Tweets are being shadowbanned. A badge of honor, these days.
